INSTRUCTIONS
Materials:
- Flower template
- Crayons
- Glue
- Large craft stick
- Yellow tissue paper
- Green marker or paint (optional)
Step 1
This coloring is meant to be done in parts. As you and your child review the things that plants need to grow, you should check that the seed your child planted earlier in the week has all those things. As you check each item, color them on the flower.
Step 2
Crumble the tissue paper squares and glue them in the center of the flower.
Step 3 (optional)
Paint or color the craft stick green.
Step 4
Glue the flower to the craft stick.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
Color the checklist on the last page of your “Flowers” book with the correct colors.
Take your checklist and a crayon and go for a walk, looking around for different flowers. Each time you see a new flower, check its color off your list. See how many colors you can find!
If you are able to pick some flowers, you can also take them home to play pretend with, to paint or make another craft, or even give them to your mom!
