INSTRUCTIONS
Materials:
- Stegosaurus template
- Up to 10 clothespins
- Crayons
- Permanent marker
- Paint or markers (optional)

Step 1
The craft is intended to be a tool to practice sequencing or letter/number recognition. Decide what skill you want to use your dinosaur to develop – for my example, I used it as a tool for learning the letters of your name. Another good way to use it is to sequence numbers 1-10.
Use a permanent marker to write corresponding letters/numbers on both the back of the dinosaur and on the clothespins.

Step 2 (optional)
Use paint or markers to decorate the clothespins.
Step 3
Color the dinosaur.

Step 4
Once complete, let your child use the clothespins to match the clothespins to the corresponding letters/numbers on the dinosaur. Not only is this good practice for sequencing and letter/number recognition, but manipulating the clothespins is great for fine motor development!

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITY
Color some pages in your “Dinosaurs” book and read to learn about different dinosaurs. Older children can also practice tracing the names of the dinosaurs!
